Muddy Promotions
Muddy Promotions was set up in August 2005, its initial aim was to put on an a festival, the GrassRoots Festival, which took place on June 23-25 2006. The idea was spearheaded by a group of individuals that wanted to create it's own 'community spirit', that would benefit the local area. Totally run by volunteers and not for profit, 'Muddy Promotions' has grown as a collective of artists, from musicians to graffitti painters. Muddy has put on a range of wonderful and meaningful events from 'Eco Art' nights to its 'Solstice' Parties. It has also created a base for all community events and workshops in it's community and arts centre 'The Glass Onion'. Groups of people from all different backgrounds can use the Glass Onion to put on events that are informative and influential on the local community. Muddy Promotions is enjoyed by anyone with the good will and inclination to get involved. This all started from nothing, no corporate or government funding, just a few friends in a room. With sheer determination, effort & nothing but positive energy, a fresh community spirit has been born. Long may a caring, self empowered, socially aware, environmentally friendly, fun loving community continue.
If you have any questions, suggestions, criticisms or can offer us any help or support then please do not hesitate to contact us. Without the involvement and enthusiasm of the people of Peterborough you would not be able to read this website or attend the festival.
